Where would the museums be without passionate collectors and patrons who eventually hand over their private treasures to the public?
Falk A. Hüchelheim from Leipzig, musician and working as a visual artist himself, is such a fervent collector, to whom the museum owes numerous extensive donations of the past years. The exhibition shows excerpts focussing on Leipzig's art after 1945. Many famous names of Leipzig's art scene are represented with up to now unknown pieces, among them Walter Bodenthal, Karl Krug, Sighart Gille, Peter Sylvester, Gerald Müller-Simon and many more.
