Böttchergäßchen House

The Böttchergäßchen House is the central department of the Museum of the City of Leipzig. It houses the administration, collections and service departments. The museum’s eight outside branches are administered from here.

The building is home to numerous special exhibitions and also to the Children’s Museum. Furthermore, there is a library and a photo library, that is open to visitors for research purposes during normal opening hours.

Tuesday – Sunday, public holidays
10 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Closed December 24, December 31

Admission charges

Free admission for those under the age of 18
Free admission on the first Wednesday of each month

Adults: € 5
Reduced: € 3.50
